  1. Nice video. Thank you for starting with the stuff about setting up a separate account – that is great advice.

I had installed NextGEN on my iPhone but hadn’t really played with it yet.

One question – why does it need admin rights? For creating/adding posts the user only needs Contributor, or author if they need to publish their posts. Why does adding images to a gallery (or adding a new gallery) require admin rights? Is it because these are files that are being added, not just database entries? If so, would it be possible to set up a gallery (folder) with suitable permissions that would allow anyone to create new files within that gallery?

    • By default the plugin is controlled by an admin account. By changing the settings in the roles options of the plugin, you could make it so another role has the permissions to control the galleries and albums. Doing so should make it possible for a lower role to be controlled by the iPhone app.

  2. I would love for this app to be updated. I would use it a lot. As it stands now, there’s no iPad version, I can’t get the delete to work to delete an image, and there is no way to add images in a batch. Great idea, just missing some important functionality. Also, adding a watermark would be helpful as well.
